ANITA HEGERLAND

Anita Hegerland, a national treasure in Norway with iconic hit songs. Her music career is both unique and historic. She is famous and highly loved throughout Europe and many countries in the world since 1969 when she took Norway with storm only eight years old when her first vinyl singel was released. Impressing people and musicians from the start with her unique musicality, huge talent and beautiful charisma.

In 1971 she was the most selling and most popular childstar in the world, together with superstar Michael Jackson. They both sold nearly two million records that year of their big hit songs. Hegerland in Germany with her monster hit «Schön ist es auf der Welt zu sein» together with popular German singer Roy Black. And Jackson in USA with his hugely successful solo debut singel « Gotta Be There».

Roy Black und Anita became the favourite music-duo for many years in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Netherlands and Belgium. Hugely successful everywhere starring in big TV-shows. Duet partners for 14 years until Roy sadly died in 1991, only 48 years old.

Anita’s voice has been sold on more than 30 million copies worldwide on vinyls and CD’s. Also compilation albums.

Anita Hegerland is the most selling solo artist in Norway ( both women and men) on vinyls and CD sales.

She is also the first woman in Scandinavia to sell more than one million copies of one song. This happend 14 years before A-HA did the same.

The newspaper VG wrote on their front page in 1972: «No other Norwegian artist has even been close to such sales figures ever in Norway or abroad». It was a sensation. Like winning gold in the Olympic Games.

And at the same time as all the attention and success surrounded Anita, she was still the same natural and down to earth girl. With a strong love for animals and people around her.

Anita is one of very few Norwegian artist that has been topping the hitlists in both Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Finland. She is still the youngest singer in history with a no 1 position in both «Svensktoppen» and the International «Kvällstoppen» hitlists in Sweden. Many weeks on top and on the lists.

In the 80s Anita was very successful touring Norway and Sweden with more than 150 concerts a year and making two movies. In 1983 she was voted the «Female Artist of the year» in Norway by the people together with Jahn Teigen.

In 1985 she collaborated with Mike Oldfield, singing on three of his albums. Anita was one of his main vocalists and together they were very successful with their iconic hit songs «Pictures in the dark» and «Innocent». The songs were Top-10 in several countries in Europe.

Anita Hegerland has recorded songs and worked with many stars throughout her career like Roy Black, Chris Roberts, Peter Alexander, Rudi Carrell, Stikkan Andersson, Rolf Løvland, Wenche Myhre, Bjørn Skifs, Benny Borg, Mike Oldfield, Simon Phillips, Bonnie Tyler, Gary Moore, Robin Millar, Nik Kershaw, Alan Parsons, Gary Wallis, Hanne Sørvaag, Ronni Le Tekrø, Axel Ritt and Chris Boltendahl (Grave Digger) and Billy Burnette.

In 1997-98 Anita had a hugely successful collaboration together with the popular Norwegian song group Dizzie Tunes in Norway. Doing 120 sold out shows in all the big cities in Norway with the show «Dizzie og Damene».

The last twenty years Anita has released several albums and she is touring extensively in Scandinavia and is regularly performing and is a popular guest in the big TV-shows in Germany.
